H&M, the Swedish fast fashion chain, said worldwide like-for-like sales jumped 8% in November, the month in which it launched its sell-out Lanvin collection.

In November, total sales in local currencies including VAT rose 17% year-on-year.

Lanvin’s much-anticipated collection for H&M sold out within hours after it launched in the UK on November 23.

The Lanvin for H&M collection was designed in collaboration with Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz and included a £199.99 black sateen coat with jewelled buttons and detachable fur collar and cocktail dresses priced at between £79.99 and £149.99.

H&M had 2,206 stores as of November 30 compared with 1,988 the year before.
