Made.com has launched an augmented reality app to help customers visualise furniture from the online furniture retailer in their own homes before making a purchase.

Using bespoke paper from the etailer’s Notting Hill showroom and its website and holding it up against Made.com’s iPhone or iPad app, shoppers will be able to see a virtual version of a selected piece of furniture. The colour of the products can also be changed.

Images can be saved and shared with family and friends.

The retailer claims to offer a substantial discount compared high street retailers by cutting out the middle man, allowing shoppers to buy bespoke or designer furniture directly from the manufacture.
