Delivery expectations are higher than ever this peak season with 12% of 18-34 year olds demanding next-day delivery for an item purchased online one day before Christmas Day.
Higher expectations around promotions and the fulfilment offer are eating into retailers’ bottom line, at a time when considerations such as the national living wage are impacting businesses’ cost bases.
