Nike has been led by chief executive John Donahoe since January 2020. It was announced that Donahoe would step down from his role, with former Nike veteran Elliott Hill set to move into the chief executive role from mid-October 2024. Donahoe will remain with the company in an advisory capacity until early 2025, when he will then retire.
