Sosandar is a rapidly growing online womenswear brand, specifically targeted at a generation of women who have graduated from throwaway fashion and are looking for quality, affordable clothing with a premium, trend-led aesthetic.

Exploiting the increased convergence of ecommerce and social media, Sosandar makes full use of the editorial expertise of founders Ali Hall and Julie Lavington, who previously ran high street fashion magazine Look, to engage with its customers through a variety of channels.

The business model is built around trend-led, in-house designs that are sourced from an expanding network of suppliers globally and an outsourced logistics provider to support ambitious growth plans.

Sosandar has been growing exceptionally rapidly since it was launched towards the end of 2016 and was admitted to the AIM Market in November 2017 when it was valued at £16m.

Partnerships with major retailers including John Lewis and Next from August 2020 and Marks & Spencer from March 2021 to sell on the retail giants’ websites are heightening its profile significantly and could be instrumental in moving the business into the black for the first time. Indeed, Sosandar raised £5.8m in May 2021 to accelerate growth with third-party retailers.
