Founder Tim Steiner has remained at the helm of the group as chief executive since it began, maintaining Ocado’s long-term purpose and vision. Hannah Gibson was promoted from chief product officer for Ocado Technology to Ocado Retail chief executive in September 2022, replacing Mel Smith who had led the joint venture between Ocado and M&S since its inception in 2019.
