With the Covid-19 pandemic seriously impacting trading throughout the year, in August 2020 New Look was forced to trigger a second CVA process. This was given the green light in mid-September, saving over 11,000 jobs.
New Look is investing in its web platform from 2020 to ensure its technology is as up to date as possible, with chief customer officer Clare Dobbie driving positive change in this area since her arrival at the beginning of the year.
New Look is a keen innovator in terms of integrating the different elements of its digital offer into its store proposition, and personalisation has also been working its way up the agenda over the past few years.
Fast fashion relies on an agile supply chain and New Look is now “working at pace” to re-establish speed to market. A much tighter planning framework has been put in place, while the total number of product options has been reduced.
