After a degree in French & Italian, Deborah began her career in journalism, ending up at the communications agency that won the TK Maxx business in 1993.

Excited by the unique business model of brands and quality for less from the outset, she jumped ship and joined the company, just before the launch of the first TK Maxx store in Bristol in the spring of 1994, now notching up over 25 years of service.

During this time, she has held a number of different positions across the group in brand & marketing but also in business development, buying and ecommerce.

Today, she sits on the executive committee for TJX Europe which trades two brands (TK Maxx and HomeSense) in six countries and across two channels, retail and online.

Alongside her brand & marketing remit, Deborah leads corporate responsibility and sustainability for TJX Europe and is proud to be part of a company with a long heritage of operating responsibly, with the company’s core values of honesty, integrity, and treating each other with dignity and respect woven throughout the fabric of the organisation.

With 630 number of stores and a thriving e-commerce business, Deborah retains her passion for both the offprice business model and the special culture of TJX.

Deborah enjoys a lively home life with her husband, three sons and two dogs and is a keen choral singer and foodie in her spare time.
