US electricals giant has revealed it will open three further stores next year.

The shops will open in Hayes, Rotherham and Enfield. The retailer launched this year in Thurrock, and has since opened stores in Southampton’s Hedge End, Merry Hill in the West Midlands and Aintree near Liverpool.

Stores in Croydon and Derby will open this autumn, followed by Cribbs Causeway in Bristol in Spring 2011 and Nottingham in Spring/Summer 2011.

All store openings will take Best Buy’s store count to 11.

Both the Hayes store, located at the Lombardy Shopping Park on Uxbridge Road, and the Rotherham shop, located at the Retail World Shopping Park at Parkgate, are expected to open in Spring/Summer 2011

The store in Enfield will be on Enfield Retail Park, and is due to open in Autumn 2011.

Shore Capital retail analyst Ramona Tipnis highlighted that the 11 stores planned to open before the end of next year falls short of the  current target of 14-16 stores, which Best Buy wanted to have open by Christmas 2011.

She said: “From a Carphone Warehouse perspective, this is encouraging, but is not an acceleration on the previously indicated target. From a Dixons perspective, it is still relatively small.”
