B&Q has launched an extended outdoor offer ahead of Easter, including a£4,500 wooden frame swimming pool.
Easter is to home improvement retailers what Christmas is to other store groups, and B&Q is predicting its 'biggest ever Easter', with bumper sales.
The retailer forecasts it will sell more than 2 million litres of paint, 44,000 garden chairs and enough laminate flooring to cover 54 football pitches over Easter.
A total of 16 choices of swimming pool are offered via the 144-page Live Outdoors catalogue, following a trial last year, as part of this season's push to increase special order products.
The number of products available on special order - goods available to order in store, over the phone or Internet - is set to increase this year from 16,000 to 20,000.
Last month, B&Q reported domestic profits up 13 per cent to£372 million on sales of£3.9 billion.
