Westfield London has begun a leasing campaign for the food quarter of its shopping centre at White City, due to open at the end of next year.

The food quarter, called Eat Gallery, will comprise 13 niche culinary operators offering a mixture of cuisines from around the world. Open cooking facilities will create a theatrical experience and there will be space for about 1,000 covers.

Other food districts at White City include a south-facing outdoor streetscape and a family-oriented mezzanine area.

Westfield managing director of UK and Europe Michael Gutman said: “The centre has really caught the upswing in interest in dining out in London and it will present an exciting selection of home-grown and European cuisines.”

Westfield London is anchored by Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, Next, Waitrose and House of Fraser. Westfield opened its first UK shopping centre last week in Derby.
