Hannah Moakes, a sales adviser at Carpetright, won the Rising Star of the Year for 2016, sponsored by Theo Paphitis Retail Group.

She was presented with the award by Theo Paphitis at a lively ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Tuesday.

She also took home the The People 1st Apprentice of the Year trophy.

The Graduate of the Year was awarded to Robbie Ryan, Vodafone, and Iceland received the Marketing or Social Team/Individual of the Year.

Other winners on the night included Holland & Barrett International, Thomas Cook, Dixons Carphone and EE for the employer initiative of the year.

Star of the BBC TV show Robot Wars Angela Scanlon hosted the Retail Week awards.
