Beauty specialist Avon has appointed a new boss for its UK and Republic of Ireland business.

Scott Schlackman replaces Anna Segatti, who has assumed a new role as senior vice president of Avon Western Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Avon, which today celebrates it 125-year anniversary, said Schlackman “brings a wealth of marketing, direct selling and leadership expertise to the role that will see him support and drive business growth”.

Schlackman has held a number of general manager positions in his 24 years at Avon, including France, Canada, Greece and Continental Europe. Prior to taking the UK role he held the position of vice president of beauty brand Liz Earle, which Avon acquired in March 2010.

Schlackman said: “The UK & ROI is an important region for Avon.  As one of the top markets out of the 100-plus we operate in, its performance is key for the organisation.

“For 125 years Avon has been the company for women; offering a flexible and scalable earnings opportunity, quality innovative products at affordable prices, and unprecedented support for the causes that matter most to women. I look forward to starting the next era for Avon UK & ROI and continuing to grow its dynamic profile.”

Avon has 6.5 million representatives selling its goods across 100 countries. It shifts four lipsticks every second, and has 300 million customers worldwide.
