TK Maxx to boost homewares and footwear after demand in US tests

TK Maxx is expanding its accessories, homewares and footwear offer, following successful trials in the US.

In the US, parent TJX Com-panies is increasing the size of its jewellery and acces-sories department at 282 TJ Maxx stores, and upping its footwear offer by 10 per cent at Marshalls stores.

TJX Companies chief executive Edmond English told US analysts that the UK business would follow suit.

The strategy will allow the retailer to increase margins and capitalise on the growing demand for more fashionable homewares product.
