Tesco has appointed Matt Atkinson as group digital and marketing officer.
Atkinson is currently chief executive of advertising agency Evans Hunt Scott, which has worked with the grocer on Clubcard in the UK since 1995.
Recently, he has also taken on responsibility for EHS’s international digital business.
Tesco deputy chief executive and chief marketing officer Tim Mason said: “Matt has worked closely with us for many years and brings a wealth of experience to help us with our strategic objective to “Be a creator of highly valued brands”.
“He brings a depth of experience of leading marketing projects for large international brands including Barclays, Johnnie Walker, and Volvo. In addition to this he has been involved in leading large scale digital mobile and social media projects for businesses like Diageo, Jaguar, Unilever and IBM.”
