Uplift in wholesale division
Fashion retailer Ted Baker has revealed trading is in line with expectations, in an AGM statement released today.

Sales at the wholesale division have improved, but the group said market conditions remained challenging. The retailer added it was 'confident of a successful outcome for the year', but conceded that, 'as always, it would be reliant on trading in the second half of the year'.

Since its preliminary results were revealed in March, the clothing retailer has opened its second-largest US store in Orange County in California. The group said it was 'delighted' with the store's performance so far.

Last year, Ted Baker posted retail sales up 11.7 per cent to£80.1 million. Full-year pre-tax profits were£18.4 million.
