Mothercare has selected a pre-season planning application from Torex to support its growing International division.

The Torex Merchandise Planning software will consolidate the two systems that were in use internationally at Mothercare and Early Learning Centre, and will integrate with its existing stock distribution planning system.

The software should be fully deployed and in use by early 2010. Torex said that it would help the retailer to improve budgeting and planning productivity.

Mothercare group brand and commercial director Gillian Berkmen added: “With our plans for international growth, we required a supplier who could provide a simple to use, cost effective and scalable system. Torex was able to answer all of these needs, ensuring our customers have continuous access to fresh and appealing products.”
