Amazon has today announced the launch of a new two-day shopping Sale, Prime Early Access, in mid October, designed to help customers “spread out their seasonal spending”.

With the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, Amazon said the October 11 and 12 event would provide “an additional opportunity for members to get their hands on what they need, for less, while helping to spread out their seasonal spending”.

It will run across 15 countries: UK, US, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Turkey.

Deals will be available across fashion, electronics, toys and “everyday essentials”, including brands such as Shark, Nespresso, Philips, Oral-B, Samsung and Lego.

Amazon UK country manager John Boumphrey said: “Across the UK, our Prime members will get the opportunity to start shopping some of the season’s top deals before anyone else with Amazon’s new Prime Early Access sale.

“You may not be ready for panto and mince pies but, with fewer than 90 days until Christmas, it’s not too early to start planning your shopping for the festive season ahead and this exclusive 48-hour sales event will help people save money and shop smarter as we head into the festive season.”

The event will take place six weeks ahead of the more established Black Friday sales event, this year on November 25.
