Co-founder and director eCommera

Ross made his mark as co-founder and chief executive of lingerie etailer Figleaves. In his time at Figleaves, he proved just how powerful specialist retailing can be online.

He set up eCommera with Andrew McGregor in 2007 to provide services to help retailers run the ecommerce side of their businesses. The company has worked with some big names including Asda and House of Fraser and has been appointed by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games to run its online merchandise shop ahead of the event.

This year, eCommera also sold a stake to advertising giant WPP and has been raising its profile with WPP chief executive Sir Martin Sorrell. ECommera’s ability to get great names and big brands involved with its work makes it a force to be reckoned with.

Ross is often the go-to man for retailers navigating the difficult and increasingly important online world and as this becomes even more important for retail businesses, eCommera is likely to be at the forefront of many future retail stories and debates.
