SportsElectric to target lads' gadgets market

Clicks-and-mortar retailer SportsElectric.com launched last week and will cater for the lads' market with a mixture of gadgets and action gear.

The retailer targets affluent 18 to 35-year-olds and offers 20,000 products, ranging from consumer electronics to sports equipment and memorabilia.

SportsElectric.com operations director Ian Shuttleworth said it had identified an online opportunity and spent months putting together a unique proposition.

'Our Web statistics will enable us to target our customers with offers specifically designed to appeal to their needs,' he said.
