This week was the opening of the first Currys PC World concession within a Tesco Extra store since the retail giants unveiled their partnership.

The 7,000 sq ft concession, offering a tailored range of Currys PC World products and repair services, is located within the 80,000 sq ft Tesco Extra store in Milton Keynes.

The second shop-in-shop is set to open next month in the grocer’s Weston Favell Extra store.

When the deal was struck, Tesco UK chief executive Matt Davies said: “We’re always looking at ways to offer our customers the best possible range of services in our stores. We think this is a winning combination for customers.”

The two retailers said the first two concessions would be trialled for a year before making a decision on a further roll out.
