Morrisons human resources and communications director Norman Pickavance is to leave the grocer at the end of June.

Morrisons said Pickavance has been “instrumental in delivering excellent customer service” at the grocer over five year. He leaves to “pursue opportunities outside of Morrisons”.

Karen Caddick, who joined Morrisons in February from Spirit Group, will take up Pickavance’s human resources duties as HR director.

Director of corporate affairs and communications Richard Taylor will also assume responsibility for internal communications and events, reporting to Dalton Philips.

The news comes just weeks after marketing director Richard Lancaster stood down from the retailer.

Morrisons chief executive Dalton Philips said: “Norman has been pivotal in making Morrisons an award winning employer. He has transformed our HR function and has been a great advocate for developing people from all backgrounds across the business. We wish him well for his future.

“We are also delighted that Karen is stepping up to a wider HR role. She has a great track record and will drive our HR strategy forward.”
