Actresses Sarah Parish and Amanda Holden were among the guests when House of Fraser unveiled a slick sex and City image in London's Square Mile on Tuesday (September 9). The retailer opened its first small-scale department store within the stately environs of the former Guardian Royal Exchange on King William Street. The five-floor 43,000 sq ft (3,995 sq m) boutique format offers City workers the chance to splurge on the likes of Jimmy Choo and Gucci during their lunch breaks. Bid speculation continues to tail House of Fraser, with Allders boss Terry Green reportedly running his sliderule over the books. House of Fraser will report interim results on September 24.
