Like-for-likes rise 1 per cent in April
Like-for-like sales at Swedish fashion chain H&M rose 1 per cent in April, with overall group sales up 9 per cent.

The results are an improvement on last month, when the fashion retailer reported an 8 per cent like-for-like sales slump.

The poor results were blamed on a delayed start to the season, with cold weather and a late Easter contributing to very weak sales, mainly in central Europe.

H&M has 1,239 stores in 22 countries.
