Legacy grocer beefs up convenience food lines as nation revisits healthy eating debate
Sainsbury's has launched a convenience range free from artificial colours, flavours or preservatives as it bids to take a bigger chunk of the£260 million ready-to-cook market.

The grocer's Fresh To Cook Range consists of 12 lines across Healthy Options, Modern Classics and Exotic Recipes categories and will be stocked at 112 stores initially.

Sainsbury's Fresh To Cook senior brand manager Julia Frost said: 'We want to become known as the supermarket renowned for always selling food that is healthy, fresh, safe and tasty. Our new range will provide customers with good value nutritious food that takes very little time to prepare.'
