Sainsbury’s has hired Wickes operations director David Furness to be its new zone managing director for the north.
Furness, who has been with Wickes for five years, will join in July. He has also previously worked at Safeway.
He will look after the supermarkets division for the north of the country at Sainsbury’s.
It is understood the Anthony Gregg Partnership placed him in his role.
