Key shareholder scotches rumours that the family doesn't support King
Sainsbury's chief executive officer Justin King (pictured) received a welcome vote of support yesterday, when a Sainsbury family member voiced her confidence in his leadership.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Jessica Sainsbury, whose family is a major shareholder of the retailer, dismissed recent speculation that shareholders had given King a six month deadline to turn the grocer around.

She told the news agency: 'All this speculation is silly, he [King] has only just presented the strategy.'
