Retail Solutions - B&Q discovers EPoS solution from Canada

DIY chain B&Q has selected Canadian company, Triversity to supply its next generation point-of-sale systems and trials using Wincor-Nixdorf hardware will start shortly.

The Triversity offering is based on the Java J2EE development platform.

Triversity was formerly the main EPoS partner for STS - another Canadian software operation that merged with NSB in 2001.

At the end of last year, Triversity secured venture capital funding of US$15 million (£9.5 million), which will be used to finance acquisitions and new software development to extend its product suite.

The additional finance is also driving European expansion. Triversity is now opening a UK office and is confident of expanding operations here in future.
