Retail Property - Swatch unveils new concept to drive UK roll-out

Swatch has launched a new store concept at its flagship London store at 313 Oxford Street, W1, which it plans to use as the springboard for a nationwide roll-out next year.

The concept has already been trialled successfully in other high-profile Swatch stores across Europe, the Far East and the US, including the Times Square flagship store. The design features bright colours, a coloured lighting scheme and suspended steel displays of watches and jewellery.

Swatch has appointed DE & J Levy to identify and acquire units in prime high street locations around the country from 300 sq ft (25 sq m) to 1,250 sq ft (115 sq m). The company is looking to open high-profile shops nationwide, with an initial focus on Glasgow, Oxford, Manchester, Bath, Birmingham and Leeds.
