Retail Property - Next signs for anchor position at Dalton Park

Next is to take an anchor store at Dalton Park, ING's 27,870 sq m outlet mall and leisure scheme in the Northeast. The retailer is to take a 930 sq m unit. Next property director Andrew Varley said: 'Its regional location and attraction make Dalton Park a logical addition to our outlet business.'

Other recent fashion lettings include 455 sq m to Tommy Hilfiger, 210 sq m to lingerie specialist Camille and 150 sq m to Pepe Jeans. The latest lettings mean the retail half of the scheme is now 85 per cent spoken for, with 11,985 sq m let or under offer.

Lease terms on the park are based on a core rent of£270 per sq m a year, plus a turnover top-up of 12.5 per cent of gross turnover. Other retailers already signed include Adidas, Claires, Joseph, Julian Graves, Pilot, Proibito and Tog 24.

Lambert Smith Hampton and Allen Hodkinson are the letting agents for the retail element, with Alder Grimes & Gooderham marketing the leisure space.
