Retail Property - Faith secures its second outlet on Oxford Street

Faith Shoes has snapped up its 50th store, at Land Securities' redevelopment of Portman House at 488 Oxford Street, in London's West End.

This will be Faith's second Oxford Street store and the first west of Oxford Circus.

The 2,050 sq ft (190 sq m) unit is next to New Look's flagship store and close to Selfridges, House of Fraser, Next and Marks & Spencer. Other recent acquisitions for Faith include the Bullring, Bluewater, Merry Hill, Newcastle's Eldon Square, Swindon, Camberley and Freshney Place at Grimsby.

More deals are already in the pipeline for next year, according to Nick Symons, partner at Faith's property advisor Blair Kirkman. 'We also have a number of other stores under offer, including Meadowhall, and are now actively seeking 20 units for 2004.

Six are already in solicitors' hands,' he said.
