Retail Property - Allied London secures top tenants

FCUK and The Iron Bed Company have opened new stores at Allied London Properties'£3.5 million refurbished Christopher Place in St Albans and a further 279 sq m unit has gone under offer to Hobbs. The deals leave one unit vacant in the centre.

FCUK franchisee Stuart Selwyn has taken a prominent 280-sq m unit on a 15-year lease on a base rent, plus turnover top up.

He also runs FCUK stores in Windsor Royal Station, The Chimes in Uxbridge and The Harlequin in Watford.

Bedroom furniture manufacturer and retailer The Iron Bed Company has opened next door in a 185 sq m unit which has been taken on a 15-year lease at£76 Zone A.

Other tenants include Bang & Olufsen, Next, Country Casuals, Viyella, Crabtree & Evelyn, Fitness First, Zizzis, Greys Hairdressing, Wagamama and Carluccio's.

Allied London leasing director Peter Cooper said: 'Delivering two more major retail brands for our tenant line up means that we have successfully revitalised Christopher Place - a fact also reflected in the significant sales and pedestrian flow figures now being achieved.'
