Raft of caterers snap up Bullring space

Fifteen catering operators have signed up to the 1.2 million sq ft (110,000 sq m) Bullring shopping development in Birmingham, with nine individually-seated cafes and family restaurants, and six branded fast-food outlets.

St Martin's Walk, Bullring's central pedestrian boulevard leading to St Martin's Square, will be the focus for a number of the restaurants, including Cafe Rouge, Nandos, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Druckers and Burger King. New names for Birmingham include Del Villaggio and Thai-Edge.

In addition, the Real Food Company has taken a unit for its 'sandwich, soup, salad and sushi' EAT format, which already has 25 branches, mainly in the Southeast.

Joint letting agents for Bullring are Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker, Jones Lang LaSalle and Lunson Mitchenall. Davis Coffer Lyons advised The Birmingham Alliance on the letting to Del Villaggio.
