Property News - Sainsbury's unit frees space at Fareham centre

Burford Group has accepted a surrender of Sainsbury's lease on its 3,530 sq m supermarket in the Fareham shopping centre at Fareham in Hampshire in return for a reverse premium. It plans to break up the store into smaller units.

Burford has already agreed terms with New Look to take 1,200 sq m on a 10-year lease at£165,000 per annum and with Bonmarche to take 620 sq m on a 15-year lease at£130,000 per annum.

New Look's former store, at 63 Westbury Mall, has been re-let to Clinton Cards. Clinton Cards is relocating from 11 Thackery Square, where it has re-let to Savers Health & Beauty.
