Investment activity in the retail warehousing sector is running at nearly twice the average level recorded in the 1990s, according to new DTZ research. Over the past year,£2.8 billion has been invested in retail warehousing, compared to an average of£1.6 billion a year between 1997 and 2001. Out-of-town retail accounted for 33 per cent of all retail investment in the UK over the past 12 months.
