Grosvenor's shopping centre fund has unveiled plans for a £3 million refurbishment and extension of the Dolphin Centre, which dominates retailing at Poole town centre, in Dorset.

Developed originally in the 1960s as the Arndale Centre, the scheme still attracts more than 11 million visitors a year. Under the proposals, it will receive new entrances and ceilings, as well as improved lighting.

A number of cafes will be introduced to both Dolphin Square and Main Square. Work will begin in March and be completed by October.
