The first Night Tube services are set to launch in London on Friday. Retailers are set to cash in but where will the trading hotspots be?

The around-the-clock services will kick-off on the Central and Victoria lines, with the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines set to follow in the autumn.

Tourist-heavy Leicester Square is set to be the number one spot for a potential boost to the night-time economy, including shops, according to global data management firm CACI.

In May, the New West End Company predicted “huge benefits” for London retailers.

Retailers could also begin to see a different demographic of shopper in high-density areas that are accessible far later during the weekend, CACI suggests.

TfL estimates that 1,700 permanent jobs, outside of the transport network, will be created as a result of the changes.
