Former Reiss ecommerce director Dan Lumb is to join footwear brand Hunter Boot as online global director.

Lumb will be working under the recently appointed chief executive James Seuss, according to Drapers.

Lumb left Reiss last month after less than two years at the helm of its online business. He joined the premium retailer in August 2011 as ecommerce director, and is credited with driving impressive online growth in that time.

At the time a spokesperson for the retailer said that under Lumb, Reiss “achieved substantial digital growth over the past two years with a fully established in-house team who will continue to drive this momentum”.

Earlier this year footwear company Hunter unveiled plans for expansion following two senior hires.

The boot brand is planning to diversify into new categories, including outerwear for the first time, and is also looking to build a retail presence following the appointment of Alasdhair Willis as creative director and Fabrizio Stroppa as commercial sales director.
