Fashion etailer MyWardrobe.com has merged its London and Nottingham offices moving all teams other than buying and merchandising to the East Midlands.
The office merger is part of a restructuring process being carried out at the etailer. MyWardrobe.com co-founder Andrew Curran said it would save some costs as a result of the merger.
Historically, around 50% of staff were based in MyWardrobe.com’s Camden, London office where the buying and merchandising teams will remain.
Curran said: “Wherever possible we plan to relocate London staff to positions within the Nottingham office, inevitably some will choose not to move to Nottingham and we will therefore be recruiting new people to rebuild the team as required.
“As a single site business we will be a far more agile, responsive operation and we will also save some costs as a result.”
MyWardrobe.com, run by former Harrods online boss David Worby, has undergone an overhaul of late. It axed around 30 brands for autumn 2013 and refocused on emerging designers.
Co-founder Sarah Curran left the business in July at the same time that the etailer secured “significant” funding. It is unclear the amount and form of the investment.
