New Look posts strong results but growth dips

New Look, which is rolling out its updated store fascia and positioning, has completed what it called a 'highly successful year'.

The value fashion group revealed last week that total sales for the 52 weeks to March 29 were up 11.2 per cent, excluding the effects of last year's 53rd week. Like-for-like sales were up 7.7 per cent.

However, store sales growth slowed for the 10 weeks to March 22, rising only 1.5 per cent. They climbed 8.3 per cent during the comparable period last year. New Look will pilot a menswear offer later this year.
