Fashion retailer New Look has created the position of business development director.
New Look is recruiting Dorothy Perkins head of marketing Hash Ladha to the role. He is likely to start next month and has previously worked for Austin Reed.
The role is separate to management changes made to the company's trading board last week.
New Look managing director Phil Wrigley said the role is two-fold. 'It's looking at product development opportunities and retail development opportunities. For instance, we still have barely 1 per cent of the lingerie market,' he said.
Customer research and a business review is expected to reveal market opportunities.
