Former cricket ace Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff has signed up to be the new face of N Brown menswear brand Jacamo, which is aimed at big and tall men aged between 30 and 45.

Flintoff will star in the brand’s catalogue and online store from August and is working on his own range ‘Flintoff by Jacamo’ to launch in January next year. The range will feature staples such as darkwash jeans, cargo trousers and a utility jacket and prices start at £35.

Jacamo is N Brown’s fastest growing brand with total revenues up 66% year-on-year.

N Brown chief executive Alan White said: “Menswear has been one of the fastest growing areas in our portfolio driven by the performance of the Jacamo brand. We are very excited to have Freddie on board as brand ambassador, who with his broad athletic build will no doubt provide a strong point of identity for our customer base.”

N Brown recorded a pre-tax profit up 5.5% to £94.5m against revenues of £718.8m in its last financial year ending February 26.

In its current year, the home shopping group posted turnover up 5.1% in the 18 weeks to July 2 and like-for-likes up 1.6%.
