Like-for-likes up 14 per cent
Luxury goods company Mulberry will pay its first dividend since 1998 after profits trebled to£6.2 million.

UK retail like-for-like sales increased 14 per cent for the year to April 1.

The accessories specialist opened stores in Edinburgh and Heathrow Terminal 1 during the financial year, as well as four concessions in House of Fraser stores.

Total group sales increased 44 per cent to£43.4 million. Third-party wholesale sales account for more than 55 per cent of the business.

A dividend of 1p a share will be paid to shareholders.

The group said that trading was positive, with retail sales up by 19 per cent for the 11 weeks to June 17.
