Morning Noon & Night in pursuit of 'quality sites'

Scottish convenience store Morning Noon & Night has reported record profits and is to go on the acquisition trail.

At present, Morning Noon & Night has 47 stores, but founder and chairman Eddie Thompson said he is looking for 'quality sites' in an effort to consolidate his position.

Thompson said: 'We continue to offer the public what they want. We are delighted that our performance is well ahead of the majority of retailers in our particular sector of the marketplace.'

Morning Noon & Night notched up operating profits of£1.3 million for the year to March 22 on sales of£44.9 million.
