Miller Brothers opens first new-look store

Superstore group Miller Brothers has re-engineered its store format in an attempt to widen shopper appeal.

The electricals and gas specialist has been testing various design elements across its 27-store estate and has united the successful features in its Nottingham store, which opened last week.

The 10,000 sq ft (929 sq m) Netherfield outlet introduces product hot spots, demonstration areas, a technology centre and a wider stock of high-demand products, such as LCD and plasma TVs.

Miller Brothers managing director Martin Foster said the new layout demonstrated the retailer's latest thinking on interior design. Foster added: 'The store incorporates a number of features which have been tested in recent refits.'

Miller Brothers is in the midst of a seven-year store revamp programme that has also brought the introduction of new branding and corporate identity.
