Mexx and Pilot are the latest retailers to sign up for Park-ridge Development’s £25 million mixed-use Waterfront scheme at Brighton Marina in East Sussex. The scheme will now be 90 per cent pre-let at opening on November 18.

Mexx has taken two ground floor units totalling 270 sq m on a 10-year lease at a base rent believed to be around£195 per sq m, plus a 10 per cent turnover top-up. Pilot is taking 230 sq m on a 10-year lease, paying a base rent of around£215 per sq m, again with a 10 per cent turnover top-up.

Other retailers committed to the scheme include Tog 24, Nicklebys, Designer Room and Proibito, and letting agent Markham Vaughan Gillingham is in talks for three more lettings, which are due to be signed before opening day.

The retail phase will be followed in spring by nine restaurants. Hammond Phillips represented Mexx.
