Marc O'Polo in UK store move

Men's, women's and children's casualwear brand Marc O'Polo hopes to open its first store in the UK since shutting its only British shop a decade ago.

The retailer would like a flagship store in London, but is not yet actively looking for a property. Premises for a first store in Switzerland are being sought.

Managing director of marketing and licensing Heinz Hackl said the UK is one of the retailer's fastest-growing markets. As well as shop-in-shops in John Lewis stores, the brand is in approximately 160 independent shops.

Marc O'Polo has 20 stores in Germany and 80 franchised shops across Europe.
