Lloydspharmacy restructures its marketing roles

Lloydspharmacy has promoted buying director Mark Green to the post of commercial director, following the restructure of its marketing and commercial departments.

A new head of communications, Martin Thurlow, has also been appointed.

He joins from advertising agency Mustoe Merriman Levy.

Lloydspharmacy, one of the UK's biggest pharmacy chains with more than 1,300 shops, believes it is 'well placed' to benefit from the partial deregulation of the pharmacy market.

The matter has been referred to the Department of Health, which is expected to publish a consultation document on how best to implement the DTI's proposals imminently.

The report will be subject to a 12-week consultation process.
