The £130 million extension to the Almondvale shopping centre at Livingston in Scotland is set to open on Thursday.

The 375,000 sq ft (34,840 sq m) extension, Elements Square, takes the retail space in the scheme, owned by Land Securities, to just under 1 million sq ft (92,900 sq m) with a total of 155 units.

It has attracted anchor tenants Debenhams and Marks & Spencer, which have both taken 90,000 sq ft (8,360 sq m) stores. Other retailers on board are H&M, River Island, Jane Norman, Republic and Dorothy Perkins.

With the extension the scheme will now be rebranded as The Centre.
