Service free of charge
Lakeside shopping centre in Essex has launched a shop and drop service today, which will be available throughout the Christmas period.

The collect-by-car service will enable shoppers to leave their bags with Lakeside staff, to collect them by car later. The service is available free of charge until December 31.

Lakeside marketing manager Claire Lamont said: 'Lakeside is committed to constantly creating customer service initiatives that will make Christmas shopping a stress-free and happy experience for all our shoppers. This free service now gives our customers the freedom to drop off their shopping at a secure point and then take advantage of everything else.'

Stores at the shopping centre will also be opening late (11 pm) in the run-up to Christmas.
